    Extract from the ” …
Extract from the “Times on line” in the UK

“US economy soars 5.7 per cent in fourth quarter
The United States economy grew at 5.7 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2009, the fastest rise in six years and far ahead of analysts expectations of 4.8 per cent”

Reality check if you have maxed out on a credit card, how do you keep the party going? Answer, get another credit card. This is NOT a real recovery it’s an illusion, headines like that prevent people from being prepared for the depression

    These kinds of …
These kinds of arguments, are just the same as the arguments that the sub-prime market caused this recession and that the people who bought those houses are to blame. We completely ignore the mortgage fraud that most all of these banks were engaging in, and for some reason, go to our peer, our equal, our neighbor, and start downing on them because they were gulible and have no idea about finance, or were just plainly lied to and had these mortgages misrepresented to them.

  3. bweazel Said:

    This is also a …
This is also a basic misunderstanding of economics. There is no such thing as money, it’s all promises to pay. There are no such thing as taxes, they’re just there to keep the illusion of control going, redirect your energy to people who for the last 20 or so years, have been seeing refunds of 20-30K, even when we’re not in hard times. We cannot save if the government and federal reserve will not allow us too, redirect your anger to the ones who deserve it, not the idiots who accept the money.

  4. bweazel Said:

    So like I was …
So like I was saying, you’re just angry at your neighbor. Not really tax credits in general. The wealthy take your money every year from capital losses with their 30K+ refunds and no one ever seems to complain, it’s only when an average guy, get’s a bit of his taxes that he has already paid into the system back, that everyone starts griping. 8,000 dollars is miniscule, we have bigger fish to fry right now. Plus, unconstitutional things the federal income tax? Haha ya, I’ll have all that back.

bweazel: Yes I agree with you that they do take advantage of their power and will have to anwser for it someday. The problem with incentives like cash for clunkers and tax credits for first time home buyers and programs like that is that SOMEBODY has to pay for those incentives and it’s not the government…it’s us! Besides, all those programs really do is encourage people who can not afford something to buy it anyway. We need to learn to work & save for what we want and if it takes time, fine!

WesSeid: I know I tell my kids to be ready to compete with the world, not with just the little video game, dead heads in their classrooms. My children have chosen a second language to learn and are working hard to learn it. We do extra math practice and book reports in the summer. They have been exposed to the world through interesting travels.

We are putting money into their ability to get out of the USA for a job and life.

    After my comment, I …
After my comment, I see nowhere a hint to feeling grateful for something.

    I simply reported facts:

The US debt has allowed a vast transfer of real wealth to the US from an exterior (generally impoverished countries)

They are the ones who are going to cope with the scarcity to come when they run out of the wealth they exchange against US debt.

Depicting the US citizens as being on the wrong side of the fence is disingenous. No grateful stuff in that.

@nichaeloz – could be the best investment you’ve ever made. People want kids like they wanted pets. Most people can’t even afford to take their cats to the vet, let alone raise a child for a lifetime.

You know it’s bad when I’m literally trolling for Doom on subscriptions lists every other 10 minutes. This has become an addiction. Sadly, it’s the healthiest drug (awareness) I could ever imagine.

    You make a good …
You make a good point. It really does come down to our allowance in exchange for favors. Don’t mistake me for someone who blames this entirely on the government. I realize we should all take personal responsibilty, but you’ve got to admit, people in those positions abuse their power. I don’t really see what’s wrong with the tax credits. Most people get refunds at the end of the year, now we want to pick apart which ones they get? I see returns all the time way larger than 8000

  18. anthonymellado Said:

    Hey I never said …
Hey I never said you are ignorant but if I’m accusing you of ignorance it is only as much as you are accusing Daniel of being a lousy father. And by the way, it is our obligation to speak for our children as they can not speak for themselves as they are being sold into slavery by our greed and even murdered through abortion because of our selfishness.

    bweazel : I …
bweazel : I disagree with your pattern of thinking. Yes the government is wrong for trying to turn people into lazy dependants but it is our fault for jumping at the opportunity to be just that. We are getting good at blaming others for the pathetic state we are in. It’s time for some tough love brother.

Yes, your son looks mixed. I believe the truth will be revealed to all of us, in the near future, these coming years, and the truth will shock people like they never expected. Of coursee have all been deceived, that’s how people gain power by preying on fears, insecurities, and people’s lack of knowledge. I do think we have common sense, its just I think people don’t exercise it as much because we are so dependent on others in the system built for us, but we can only ride 2 canoes so long.
